Your Horse CAN benefit from naturally based hoofcare, and this site will help you with your journey towards fundamental hoof soundness. I've been evolving my practice since 1999, starting with my own two horses after becoming frustrated by chronic lameness and spending thousands of dollars on the best farriers and vets in search of soundness. I've learned from my horses and others ever since, with wonderful results. I am a member of Pacific Hoof Care Practitioners (PHCP), an organization of professionals and owners dedicated to horse care in the true "holistic" sense: non-invasive methodology, natural horsekeeping, and proper nutrition. I don't carve a healthy hoof on your horse, I grow one.

The philosophy and practice is based on experience gleaned from the thousands of cases by leading farriers/trimmers, and from the most recent scientific findings of veterinary research, and not simply tradition. The growing consensus is for the need to focus on the individual horse and its situation. There is no cookie cutter.

"Our Model is the outer form that allows the inner form to function optimally. Each hoof is a unique force which expresses itself to best serve that limb, on that animal, in that environment, at that time. The role of the trimmer is to support this natural process." -PHCP website (pacifichoofcare.org)

Constant education enhances my care for your precious equine friends. I am confident I can help your horses lead happy, healthy, sound lives...yet if faced with an unusual or intractable situation, I will tell you, and help you find the right practitioner...trimmer, vet, or farrier. It's not about me, or you...it's about the horse.
