Pacific Hoof Care Practitioners (PHCP) is an organization whose mission is "To provide a supportive network and educational foundation for hoof care professionals and horse owners based on a holistic and progressive approach." We offer support and education in the form of clinics on hoof disecction and anatomy, booting, casting, nutrition, bodywork, and more. There is also a moderated online forum (members only) for information exchange and trim assistance.
Bay Area Equestrian Network is a great resource for horse owners in CA and elsewhere. Check it out!
Linda Cowles, Barefoot Trimmer and one of my Mentors. VP of American Hoof Association (AHA). Founding member of PHCP. Linda is a friend and mentor, with an inquiring and analytical mind, and big heart. A wealth of experience is reflected on her website...until I have time to organize my own case studies, I urge you to browse her case studies . Her experiences reflect my own path...we see eye to eye on much.
Pete Ramey's site. Although I am not personally accquainted with Pete (unlike Linda), his style of thinking and challenging established techniques...especially his own knowledge ("Don't fall in love with your trim")...reflects my own style and ways. He really resonates with me and myown barefoot trimming experiences. Another trove to mine here, especially the Articles pages.
